The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Golden takes a jab right on the kisser.
Golden dives in for a single leg takedown but Joy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A nice leg kick lands there from Joy.
Golden misses with a kick to the body.
Joy shoots in for a takedown but Golden shows good takedown defense.

Joy moves into range and clinches up with Golden.
Golden wants to get back to striking at distance but Joy won't allow it.
Golden is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Joy pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joy is trying to break free.
Golden tries to score a body lock takedown but Joy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Golden. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Joy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Golden smiles and moves away.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Joy, right into the meat.
Joy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Golden stumbling backwards into the cage! Golden bounces back off the cage towards Joy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Joy lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Joy celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
