PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Fin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aishy Moitomyie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Marcos Fin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marcos Fin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moitomyie tries to clinch but Fin moves out of range.
Moitomyie doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Fin counters by clinching up.
Fin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Fin is trying to trip Moitomyie. He has hold of a leg but Moitomyie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fin gets to his feet - Moitomyie follows without any prompting.

Fin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moitomyie's half guard.

Fin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Moitomyie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moitomyie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fin defends it easily.

Fin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fin gets to his feet - Moitomyie follows without any prompting.

Fin moves into range and clinches up with Moitomyie.

Fin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Moitomyie closes the distance and clinches up with Fin, looking for a takedown. Moitomyie pushes Fin against the cage but Fin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fin shoots in and gets a takedown into Moitomyie's guard.
Fin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moitomyie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fin drives through with a takedown into Moitomyie's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Moitomyie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fin's waist but Fin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moitomyie off to one side.
Marcos Fin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aishy Moitomyie.
Fin stuffs the takedown attempt from Moitomyie. Moitomyie gets slowly back to his feet.
Moitomyie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fin but Fin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Moitomyie is breathing heavily.
Fin avoids the head kick by Moitomyie.

Fin rushes Moitomyie and presses him up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Moitomyie closes the distance looking to clinch

and Fin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Moitomyie tries to kick Fin off in order to stand up. Fin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Moitomyie trying to control the position from guard on top but Fin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fin wriggles free and stands up.
Moitomyie tries to clinch up.
Fin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moitomyie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Marcos Fin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fin decides to stand back up. Fin steps back and let's Moitomyie get back to his feet.

Fin closes the distance and clinches.
Moitomyie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fin has him pressed against the cage.

Fin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Moitomyie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fin lands a jab to Moitomyie's midsection.
Fin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fin wants it to stay on the feet.

Fin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Moitomyie!
Moitomyie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fin decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Moitomyie is looking to clinch but Fin is avoiding it.

Moitomyie gets caught napping as Fin dives in and scores a takedown. Moitomyie manages to retain guard.
Fin tries to free his leg and advance position but Moitomyie is retaining full guard.

Moitomyie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fin keeping moving, preventing Moitomyie from controlling successfully.
Fin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moitomyie.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Marcos Fin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fin has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Moitomyie has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
