Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugo Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chavez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chavez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chavez lands a big head kick that sends Harris tumbling to the mat! Chavez takes a step backwards and waves Harris back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Paul Harris has been cut.
Harris gets a double leg takedown into Chavez's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harris throwing strikes from guard but Chavez blocks nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nice takedown defense from Chavez. No joy for Harris on that attempt.
Harris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chavez. That did some damage!
Harris thows a left - swing and a miss!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Harris scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Harris tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Harris misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chavez.
Chavez scores with a shoulder strike.

Chavez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck for Harris with that takedown attempt.
Chavez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chavez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chavez lands a big head kick that sends Harris tumbling to the mat! Chavez takes a step backwards and waves Harris back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chavez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Harris.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circle, before Chavez throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Harris's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Chavez lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

During a confident post fight interview, Hugo Chavez thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
