Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Te O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Boyka looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka throws a series of punches but Te O avoids them all with ease.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Te O has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Boyka gets a clinch.

Boyka moves into range and clinches up with Te O.

It looks like Timmy Te O has been cut.
Te O has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boyka after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyka drops Te O with a big knee straight up the middle! Te O is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Boyka closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Te O is still on wobbly legs! Can Boyka finish him?

Boyka lands an elbow inside.
Te O takes an elbow to the forehead.
Te O wants a takedown but no success here.
Yuri Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timmy Te O.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Boyka.
Boyka connects with a knee to the head.
Boyka lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Boyka jerks Te O's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Te O drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Boyka goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Boyka because Te O was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
