Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Nieves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieves looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Nieves off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nieves looking to control.
Nieves is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment.
Nieves is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nieves fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nieves is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Jackson works to advance to full mount. Nieves defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nieves is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.
Nieves tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jackson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Nieves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nieves gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch.

Jackson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Nieves is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Nieves half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nieves quickly recovers to half guard.

Nieves is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jackson decides to stand and escape the position.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nieves napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nieves shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nieves is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nieves tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nieves is looking to stand back up but Jackson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nieves.

Jackson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Nieves can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Jackson and Nieves drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Jackson.
