PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy ballard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammad Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Billy ballard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Billy ballard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
ballard takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Billy ballard has been cut.
ballard ducks under a wild hook from Ali.
Oooh a lovely combination from Ali sends ballard down but not out. Ali dives into side control looking to finish.

ballard is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
ballard is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ali has just dragged him back down to the mat.
ballard is not content to let Ali control the position.
ballard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ali throws an elbow but ballard slips to the side and avoids it well.
ballard wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Ali works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Billy ballard's cut is getting worse.

Ali really doesn't want to stay on the ground with ballard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ali throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Ali wants to stand but ballard is controlling his arm.

ballard sneaks back into half guard.
Ali throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
ballard could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
ballard wants to get back to his feet.
Ali seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ali connects with a jab.

Billy ballard's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ali is looking to clinch but ballard is avoiding it.
Ali bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps ballard's head backwards.
Ali tries to clinch but ballard is having none of it.
ballard keeps the fight on the outside.
ballard swats away the attempt to clinch by Ali.
Ali drops ballard with a right and a left! Ali comes rushing in but ballard regains his composure and manages to keep Ali in guard.
Oh ballard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jeez, Billy ballard's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Billy ballard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
