PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chi Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coz Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coz Castillo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buchanan gets tackled into the cage by Castillo. Castillo maintains the clinch.
A short right from Castillo.

Buchanan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Castillo has managed to clinch.
Castillo throws a punch but it's blocked by Buchanan.
A nice left hand lands by Castillo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buchanan breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Castillo pushes Buchanan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Buchanan is rocked!

It looks like Chi Buchanan has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Buchanan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oh Buchanan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Castillo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Castillo throws a head punch that misses.
Castillo creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Buchanan's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Buchanan drops to his knees and Castillo pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Coz Castillo!
