Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackson Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshi Twister!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ramos stopping the sweep attempt from Twister.
Twister keeping moving, preventing Ramos from controlling successfully.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Twister looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ramos passes into half guard.
Ramos works his way into side control.
Twister is looking to regain half guard here but Ramos keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ramos is looking to take a break and control but Twister is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ramos wants to stand but Twister has his arm trapped.
Ramos trying to control the position but Twister is working away.

Ramos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ramos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ramos takes a little break here. Twister wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Twister is looking for a sweep.
Twister taking punishment in the form of punches.
Twister tries to buck Ramos off but Ramos is having none of it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ramos scores with a couple of short elbows.
Ramos grinds an elbow into Twister's temple.
Ramos lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Twister down.


Twister is rocked!
Twister tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ramos presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Twister is still in real trouble! Can Ramos finish him?

Twister tries to improve his position but Ramos has taken his back! Ramos has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Twister tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ramos pushes Twister away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jackson Ramos!
