The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Takasugi with that takedown attempt.
Skantze Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takasugi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skantze Jr's waist but Skantze Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takasugi off to one side.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takasugi connects with a nice short shot to Skantze Jr's temple.
