Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Sloane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rory Sloane will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Ruth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rory Sloane!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruth takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ruth tries for a takedown but Sloane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sloane. That's going to slow Ruth down.
Ruth avoids the head kick by Sloane.
Sloane scores with a spinning back kick!

It looks like Ed Ruth has been cut.
Ruth takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ruth thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ruth tries for a takedown but Sloane circles away easily
and Sloane counters with a low kick, right behind Ruth 's knee.
Ruth shoots in but Sloane avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sloane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Ruth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruth on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ruth shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Ruth throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sloane tries to get to full guard but Ruth has control of the leg.
Ruth is nestled in close to Sloane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sloane is trying to get back to full guard.
Ruth lands with a punch from half guard.
Ruth winds up and cracks Sloane with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ruth works his way into full mount!
Sloane tries to hold on but Ruth pushes him away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sloane can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ruth breaks from Sloane's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Rory Sloane has been cut.
Sloane tries to hold on but Ruth postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloane is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ruth lands a heavy elbow.
Ruth lands a big elbow.
Sloane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sloane is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ruth lands a couple of good shots and Sloane has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That has opened up Rory Sloane's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rory Sloane's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
