Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Kaukalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes into the arena with Sweater Weather blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaukalo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cole on the side of the head.
Cole moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cole throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kaukalo.
A head kick misses from Kaukalo.
Cole throws a push kick but Kaukalo slaps the foot to one side.
Cole wants to slow Kaukalo down by chopping away at his legs.
Cole feints and then cracks Kaukalo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kaukalo down.
Kaukalo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cole doesn't seem bothered though.

It looks like Rico Cole has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cole seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cole moves away from the strike by Kaukalo.
Cole steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kaukalo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Kaukalo dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rico Cole's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kaukalo drives through and clinches with Cole against the cage.
Cole wants to break free but Kaukalo has control.

Cole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kaukalo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cole.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kaukalo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kaukalo steps in with a hook that catches Cole right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Kaukalo follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Cole looks absolutely devastated.
