Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyov Kirijenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Enki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Master Enki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lyov Kirijenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Master Enki!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirijenko misses with a looping left.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Enki checks a leg kick.
Enki throws out a counter right but Kirijenko avoids it with no problem.
Kirijenko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kirijenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kirijenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Enki dodges the ground and pound from Kirijenko.
Enki is looking for a sweep.
Kirijenko has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Enki wants to control but Kirijenko postures up.
Kirijenko creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Enki sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirijenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Enki, who protects the arm well.

Kirijenko tries to move into full mount but can't pass Enki's legs.
Kirijenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Enki keeps working.
Kirijenko is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Enki will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kirijenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kirijenko is chipping away with strikes.
Kirijenko tries to advance to mount but Enki denies him.
Enki tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kirijenko presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kirijenko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kirijenko blocks Enki's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirijenko lands with some strikes.

Enki bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Kirijenko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Enki defends well.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Enki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Enki wants to get up but he can't break Kirijenko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Enki works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Enki wants to control but Kirijenko is keeping him busy.
Enki trying to mount his opponent but Kirijenko defends it.

Kirijenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Enki prevents Kirijenko from improving his position.
Enki works his foot free and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lyov Kirijenko dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kirijenko clobbers Enki with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kirijenko misses with a body shot.
Enki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kirijenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kirijenko throws a push kick but Enki slaps the foot to one side.
It seemed like Enki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kirijenko fails to land with a series of punches.
Enki doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Enki throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kirijenko on the side of the head.

Kirijenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Enki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kirijenko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Enki felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kirijenko connects with a bit shot that sees Enki covering up! More strikes from Kirijenko and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kirijenko is our winner by TKO!
