PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Bannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gorge Jurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurgel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rock N Roll Train. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeremy Bannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 45 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gorge Jurgel!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bannon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jurgel tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Come on Bannon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bannon takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Bannon for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bannon drops back looking for a leg! Jurgel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jurgel manages to kick Bannon off! Bannon jumps back into Jurgel's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
