PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joanna Piechocka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazar Angelov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piechocka's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kill YOU !!!. Lazar Angelov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angelov moves into range and clinches up with Piechocka.
Piechocka blocking some punches.
Angelov is trying to maintain a safe position but Piechocka gets an underhook and turns Angelov into the ropes.
Angelov misses with a short punch on the inside.

Piechocka has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Angelov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Piechocka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Angelov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Angelov is trying to get back to his feet but Piechocka has full control of the position and if anything, Angelov has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Piechocka slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Piechocka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Angelov for as long as he can get away with.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've been hearing good reports from Piechocka's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
