Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danial Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keano Charmant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frank looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Frank takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Frank seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Charmant for as long as he can get away with.
Charmant pushes Frank off looking to stand but Frank dives back in and keeps control.

and Frank counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Frank.

Charmant has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Frank clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Charmant has his opponent's back but Frank is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Charmant.

Frank has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Frank.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frank's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Charmant shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Frank is trying to defend but Charmant finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
