Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Granville Hines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago Sanchez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Granville Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Santiago Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt.
Sanchez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hines sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanchez somewhat.
Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Granville Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Sanchez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Sanchez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hines really is a fat lump.
Hines is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sanchez controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hines swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hines avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hines as he jumps to the side.

No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt.
Hines displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.
Hines tries to counter by clinching up but Sanchez breaks away and moves out of range.
Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sanchez clinches with his opponent.

Hines pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sanchez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hines avoids it really well and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time.
It appears Hines was looking to counter with a kick there.
Sanchez looks winded!
Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hines moves into the clinch.
Sanchez dodges an elbow strike from Hines.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Hines prevents the takedown attempt.

Hines breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hines's waist but Hines gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.
Hines changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanchez tries to avoid it but Hines manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanchez to the ground. Sanchez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hines changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanchez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Granville Hines dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hines clinches.
Hines jumps guard but Sanchez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hines just stands there and leans against the cage.

Sanchez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hines uses from the top position.
Hines won't allow Sanchez to sweep him here.
Hines works over Sanchez with some ground and pound from guard.
Hines postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it.
Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hines scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Hines working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sanchez's head.
Hines stands up over Sanchez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sanchez is trying to keep Hines in close.

Sanchez looking for subs off his back but Hines has passed one foot through into half guard.

Hines working the head and body with strikes.
Hines scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Sanchez is looking to improve his position.
Sanchez strikes from the bottom but Hines passes into mount!
Hines scoring with strikes but Sanchez is staying in there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hines breaks from Sanchez's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Sanchez is in a horrible position here. Hines smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hines scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sanchez wants to hold on but Hines pushes him away.
Hines with a couple of short strikes.
Hines landing strikes from the mount.
Hines pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hines lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hines lands a big shot there that rocks Sanchez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hines fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Sanchez is rocked!

Hines is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sanchez has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sanchez is still in real trouble! Can Hines finish him?
Hines cracks Sanchez with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Granville Hines!
