Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kanzler Rotombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotombo shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rotombo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but John moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
John avoids the head kick by Rotombo.
Rotombo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
John swinging wilding here.
Rotombo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
John fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rotombo tries to clinch there but John circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

John darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

John postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rotombo to stand up.

Rotombo throws a nice head kick!
Rotombo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Rotombo pushes John up against the cage in a clinch.
Rotombo has had enough of the clinch but John keeps him there for the moment.
John prevents the takedown attempt.
John dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

John escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rotombo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rotombo wants to break the clinch but can't.

John tries to score a body lock takedown but Rotombo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

John can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rotombo is looking to escape.
Rotombo is trying to escape the mount.
Rotombo wants to hold on but John pushes him away.

John working for a guillotine from mount but Rotombo is in no mood to give up.
Rotombo is working to get back to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
John can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rotombo is looking to escape.
John is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rotombo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker John dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rotombo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
John takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

John has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rotombo trying to control the position but instead, John has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rotombo into the cage.
Rotombo prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rotombo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics John uses from the top position.

Rotombo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but John can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

John working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
John wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rotombo keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rotombo regains half guard.
Rotombo tries to kick John off but John keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
John is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
John throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

John stands up from half guard.
John doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rotombo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Rotombo tries for a takedown but John sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

John changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rotombo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rotombo is looking to reverse the position.
John taking a breather here.
Rotombo is trying to get back to half guard.
Rotombo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, John asserts his dominance and retains side control.

John connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rotombo some visible discomfort.

John decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Good leg kick by Rotombo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
John keeps the fight on the outside.

John instigates a clinch.
John swings wildly with an uppercut but Rotombo uses good head movement to avoid it.
John drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kanzler Rotombo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Parker John.

Rotombo successfully pulls guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker John showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Rotombo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to John's calf.
Rotombo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

John looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rotombo gets full guard.
Rotombo wants to improve his position but instead John has moved into half guard.
John trying to control the action but Rotombo is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

John working the head and body with strikes.
Rotombo is pressing down on John's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Rotombo is working an open guard so John takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
John tries to close the distance and clinch but Rotombo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
John closes the distance and clinches up with Rotombo, looking for a takedown. John pushes Rotombo against the cage but Rotombo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rotombo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
John takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rotombo shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily.
John moves in looking to clinch but Rotombo pushes him off.

Rotombo checks the leg kick nicely there.
John blocks a head kick by Rotombo.
Rotombo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kanzler Rotombo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

John feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rotombo wants to sweep but no luck.
Rotombo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Rotombo stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Rotombo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

John shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rotombo's guard.
Rotombo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. John manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rotombo wanted to stand there but John had control of the position.
John keeping moving, preventing Rotombo from controlling successfully.
Rotombo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

John keeping full guard, as Rotombo tries to pass.
John is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

John is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rotombo manages to get to full guard.

Parker John comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
