Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Rothko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walter Rothko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Bryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Rothko !
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryan swinging wildly here.
Rothko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bryan defends well and Rothko ends up having to push Bryan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rothko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bryan quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Bryan is looking to clinch but Rothko is avoiding it.
Rothko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bryan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bryan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bryan wants to pass the guard but Rothko is defending well.
Bryan content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rothko is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rothko is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bryan jumps into side control!

Bryan lands a big shot there that rocks Rothko but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bryan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rothko .
Daniel Bryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Rothko .

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rothko enables Bryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rothko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rothko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bryan defends well.

Bryan wants to stand but Rothko has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bryan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bryan throws a head kick but Rothko moves out of range.
Rothko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bryan but Bryan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bryan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bryan throws a low kick, looking for Rothko 's leg but Rothko calmly moves out of range.
Rothko closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bryan keeps the fight on the outside.
Bryan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Rothko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bryan tries to counter by clinching up but Rothko breaks away and moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rothko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bryan doesn't seem bothered though.

Bryan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rothko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bryan is in Rothko 's guard.
Rothko wants to improve his position but instead Bryan has moved into half guard.
Rothko is trying to maintain the position but Bryan is very close to passing his half guard.
Bryan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Bryan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bryan is trying to control. Rothko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Bryan stands up from half guard.
Bryan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bryan wants it to stay on the feet.

Rothko closes the distance and clinches.
Rothko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bryan's efforts to push away.
Rothko lands a shot to the body.

Bryan prevents the takedown attempt.
Bryan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rothko walks away with a smile on his face. Bryan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rothko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daniel Bryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Rothko .

Bryan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rothko on his heels. He'll look to pass Rothko 's guard now, I'm sure.

Rothko makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Rothko tries to close the distance and clinch but Bryan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bryan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rothko is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bryan is controlling him well.
Bryan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rothko keeps working.
Bryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rothko can do to turn this around?
Rothko sneaks back into half guard.

Bryan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rothko defend it? Bryan steps over the head and cranks it - Rothko is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bryan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Daniel Bryan!
As Daniel Bryan got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! '.
