Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Kahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Thug!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahn throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kahn works Thug's body with a nice hook.
Kahn lands a jab.
Kahn throws a hook but Thug blocks it.
Tyson Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Kahn does it's job there.
Kahn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thug.
Thug keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As Kahn backs off Thug throws a huge counter combo but Kahn manages to avoid it all.
Kahn misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kahn throws out a leg kick but Thug moves out of range and Kahn only half commits.
Kahn lands a leg kick that knocks Thug off balance momentarily.
Thug misses the jab.
Kahn throws a wild body kick that Thug sees coming a mile off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kahn just misses with a punch to the body.
Kahn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kahn misses with a straight left.
Kahn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kahn misses with a hook
and Thug counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kahn, as that shot connected.
Kahn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thug.
Thug looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kahn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Kahn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Thug doesn't seem phased though.
Thug slips a jab from Kahn.
Kahn scores with a decent looking hook.
Thug is rocked!
Thug takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thug is still on wobbly legs! Can Kahn finish him?
Thug looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kahn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Thug takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Thug seems to have recovered his senses.
Kahn connects with a body shot that sends Thug's belly button to the back.
Kahn drops Thug with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Thug! Kahn dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Kahn!
After winning the bout, Tyson Kahn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
