Matiss is looking to slow State down with leg kicks.
Matiss misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

It looks like Mario Matiss has been cut.
State is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice defenses there by State.
Matiss tests State's chin there with a solid looking shot.

State slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
State connects with a combination that backs up Matiss into the cage. State lands a flurry of punches that gets past Matiss's guard. Matiss is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! State bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

Police State decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
