Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pizzazz Longez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mornington Crescent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Crescent 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Mornington Crescent has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Longez as Crescent shoots in.
A slow jab from Longez misses its intended target.
Longez avoids a kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Longez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Crescent - the referee stops the clock and Longez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Crescent. Longez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crescent looking for a guillotine from mount but Longez is having none of it.

Crescent is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Longez sees it coming and defends easily.
Longez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crescent on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Longez wants to get back to his feet.

Crescent is looking to advance position but Longez won't allow it.

Longez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crescent is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crescent misses with the combination.
Longez throws an overhand right that lands on Crescent's shoulder, as Crescent tries to avoid the shot.
Longez misses with a straight left.
Longez connects with the punch.
Crescent is looking to clinch but Longez is avoiding it.
Longez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Crescent ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Longez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crescent can pounce on him.
Crescent has a takedown stuffed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crescent.
Pizzazz Longez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mornington Crescent.

Longez misses the jab.
Longez cracks Crescent with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Crescent looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Longez finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crescent throws a half hearted mid kick.
Longez looks to land a left hand but Crescent moved out of range nicely.

Crescent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Longez to the mat! Longez manages to get full guard.
Crescent looks gassed!
Crescent won't allow Longez to sweep him here.
Longez is looking to stand up but Crescent isn't so interested in that idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Longez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Crescent tries to close the distance and clinch but Longez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Longez throws a looping overhand right but Crescent ducks down to avoid it.
Crescent steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Longez.
Crescent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Longez is fending him off so far but Crescent persists. Nope, Longez circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Crescent or perhaps it was just good defense by Longez which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crescent shoots in and drives through. Longez sprawls well.
Longez scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Longez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Longez lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Crescent falls backwards - clearly groggy! Longez dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
