Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pete McKallister!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergman has his takedown stuffed
and McKallister counters with a nice uppercut.
Decent striking displayed by McKallister there.
McKallister dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bergman. That did some damage!

Bergman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bergman tries to work over McKallister's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Bergman blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Bergman is trying to push McKallister away but McKallister has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bergman wants to take the fight to the mat but McKallister manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bergman postures up in McKallister's guard and throws a big left but McKallister blocks it.
Bergman won't allow McKallister to get back to his feet.
Bergman is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Bergman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McKallister wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bergman manages to pass to side control.
Bergman wants to control but McKallister is keeping him busy.
Bergman stalling away here and it's allowed McKallister to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Bergman pushes down on McKallister's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bergman moves into full mount! McKallister won't be happy about that!

Bergman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McKallister has managed to escape the submission attempt.

McKallister is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Bergman throws a wild left hand from mount and McKallister manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
McKallister is not content to let Bergman control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bergman prevents McKallister from standing back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bergman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bergman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McKallister manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bergman has McKallister in his guard.

McKallister bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bergman's head.
McKallister has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd cheers as McKallister lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bergman doesn't seem phased though.

It seemed like McKallister was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Bergman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bergman shoots for a double leg takedown but McKallister sprawls well. He's pushed Bergman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and McKallister counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bergman is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bergman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McKallister manages to avoid it.
Bergman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
