Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jalmari Pullo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jalmari Pullo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Stifler !
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stifler throws a series of strikes that have Pullo backpedaling.
Pullo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stifler 's hands.

and Stifler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Stifler not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pullo is looking to improve his position.

Pullo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stifler pulls his head out easily.
Pullo wants to get back to full guard.
Stifler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pullo is looking to get back to full guard here but Stifler has managed to pass to side control instead.
Stifler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stifler slips a nice elbow through Pullo's hands, connecting with Pullo's forehead.
Stifler stalling away here and it's allowed Pullo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Pullo is pulling down on Stifler 's head. It's preventing any offense from Stifler , at least for the moment.

Stifler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pullo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pullo is looking to take a break and control but Stifler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've been hearing that Pullo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pullo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stifler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pullo somewhat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stifler or perhaps it was just good defense by Pullo, which made it look bad.
Steve Stifler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pullo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pullo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stifler swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jalmari Pullo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pullo dives in and grabs Stifler 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stifler pushes down on Pullo's head and hops out.
Pullo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stifler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pullo misses with a wild body shot.
Pullo shoots in looking for a takedown but Stifler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pullo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stifler looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Stifler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pullo closes the distance and clinches up with Stifler , looking for a takedown. Pullo pushes Stifler against the cage but Stifler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pullo darts in looking for a takedown but Stifler gets double underhooks and turns Pullo into the cage.
Pullo shoots in looking for a takedown. Stifler tries to sprawl out of it but Pullo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stifler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Stifler is working Pullo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Pullo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stifler defends it easily.

Pullo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stifler escapes and throws Pullo's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stifler happy to just control the position for now.
Pullo tries to bench press Stifler off him but Stifler keeps the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pullo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stifler 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stifler 's back!

Pullo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stifler has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Steve Stifler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Pullo wants to clinch up but Stifler keeps it at a distance.
Pullo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stifler 's waist but Stifler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pullo off to one side.

Stifler feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pullos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Stifler has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pullo goes for a double leg but Stifler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stifler continues to drive forward.

Pullo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stifler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Steve Stifler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stifler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
