The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Morrow - just one landing.
Morrow fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Watkins on the side of the head.
Morrow fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Watkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Morrow swinging wildly here.
Watkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morrow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Watkins counters with a three punch combo that has Morrow backing up. Morrow nods at Watkins to acknowledge the strikes.
Morrow connects with a right hand. Watkins shakes it off.
Watkins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Morrow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Watkins was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Morrow throws a right and a left that Watkins avoids nicely.

Watkins moves into the clinch.

Morrow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Morrow looks to land a combination but Watkins avoids it well.
A head kick misses from Watkins.
Watkins avoids the body shot from Morrow.
Alexander Morrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morrow lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Morrow misses with a double jab.
Watkins tries for a takedown but Morrow sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Morrow misses with a few strikes there.
Morrow avoids the head kick by Watkins.
Watkins on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Morrow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watkins manages to avoid it.
Alexander Morrow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Morrow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Watkins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Morrow throws a shot to the body.
Watkins tries a head kick but it misses.

Watkins is rocked!
Watkins finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Morrow's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Watkins falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

After the fight, Alexander Morrow was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
