Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boom Shot!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It looks like Boom Shot has been cut.
Solomon lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Solomon has Shot pressed against the cage, preventing Shot from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Solomon sets himself, and Shot steps forward looking for the clinch! Solomon avoids it this time.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Solomon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Solomon looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Solomon cracks Shot with a solid left hand.

Shot wants to stand up but Solomon is controlling him.

Solomon is pushing down on Shot's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shot is fighting to maintain full guard but Solomon has managed to sneak the leg through.
Solomon is just content to waste time from the top position. Shot takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

We've been informed that Shot has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shot dodges the ground and pound from Solomon.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Solomon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Solomon is putting a hurting on Shot here, landing some big shots from side control.
Shot is looking to regain half guard here but Solomon keeps moving and retains side control.

You can see the frustration on Shot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ground and pound from Solomon seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Shot digs a right hand into Solomon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Solomon's gas tank.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Solomon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Alfie Solomon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Solomon in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Shot is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Alfie Solomon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
