Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and GaiI Kin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elmer Powell has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elmer Powell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, GaiI Kin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Powell on his heels. He'll look to pass Powell's guard now, I'm sure.

Powell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kin postures up in Powell's guard and throws a big left but Powell blocks it.

Kin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kin tries to land a front kick but Powell steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Powell tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kin manages to circle out of the way.

Powell has his foot on Kin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kin works his way back into a safe position though.

Powell throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kin postures up in Powell's guard and throws a big left but Powell blocks it.

Kin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Powell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Powell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Powell trying to control the position but instead, Kin has worked for underhooks and has pushed Powell into the cage.

Powell is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Elmer Powell.

Kin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Powell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kin is in Powell's guard.

Powell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kin manages to get himself to full guard.

Powell drops back looking for a leg! Kin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kin manages to kick Powell off! Powell jumps back into Kin's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Powell has gone for a leg lock! Kin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Powell's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kin tries to free his leg and advance position but Powell is retaining full guard.

Powell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

GaiI Kin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Powell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Powell slips a nice elbow through Kin's hands, connecting with Kin's forehead.

Kin is looking for a sweep. Powell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Powell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kin is just riding it out for now. Powell eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kin tries to kick Powell off but Powell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Powell tries to clinch up but Kin circles away and keeps his distance.

Kin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Powell sprawls well initially but Kin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Powell regains full guard. Nicely done.
Powell is pulling down on Kin's head to control his posture.

Kin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Powell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kin has managed to get both his arms back between Powell's legs - danger averted.

Powell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to GaiI Kin.
Well Kin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
