Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Snow. No joy for Wilson on that attempt.
Snow blocks a head kick by Wilson.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Snow misses with a head kick.
Snow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Snow throws a leg kick that misses.

Snow drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wilson is looking to reverse the position.

Wilson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

and Snow counters with a single leg into guard. Wilson didn't expect that.
Wilson is looking to stand up but Snow isn't so interested in that idea.
Wilson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snow controls the pace.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Snow slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Snow stands up from Wilson's guard - Snow perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Snow holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Snow changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wilson pushes Snow away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Snow gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Snow fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wilson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wilson showed some decent athleticism there.
Snow is controlling Wilson's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson is thwarting Snow's attempts to control the position.
Wilson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Snow with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Snow is breathing heavily.

Wilson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Snow has managed to free his arm - good work.

Wilson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Wilson instigates a clinch.
Wilson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Snow smiles and moves away.

Snow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wilson sprawls well initially but Snow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wilson is refusing to be controlled, as Snow sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow stops Wilson from getting back to his feet.
Wilson trying to hold on to Snow's head to control him but Snow postures up.
Wilson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Snow stands up and beckons Wilson to join him on the feet.

Snow is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wilson postures up.
Wilson tries to stand but Snow is controlling from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wilson has his takedown stuffed

and Snow counters with a shoot takedown. Wilson fights it but they end up in guard.

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jon Snow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I've got Snow winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
