And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 4, fighting out of New York, Bucky The Badger!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Badger defending well as Torello loads up on a big left hand.
The Badger swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Torello dives in for a single leg takedown but The Badger sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The Badger slips a jab from Torello.
The Badger connects with a jab.
The Badger lunges at Torello with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Torello's hand.
The Badger gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The Badger throws a series of punches but Torello avoids them all with ease.
The Badger scores with a shot to the body.
The Badger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for The Badger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Torello drops down looking for a counter takedown but The Badger sprawls and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been informed that The Badger has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Torello has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Badger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torello is working away from the top position though.

The Badger is bucking up trying to escape but Torello cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Torello throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent The Badger stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Torello moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Torello here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Despite the aggression on The Badger's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Torello shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Badger pinned against the cage. The Badger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from The Badger! But no joy.

Bucky The Badger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Torello is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! The Badger is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! The Badger has escaped and now he's on top!


Torello has his foot on The Badger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. The Badger works his way back into a safe position though.
The Badger's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torello wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and The Badger is now in half guard.

The Badger takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torello is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because The Badger is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Bucky The Badger.
