Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Te O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timmy Te O!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Te O wants a takedown.
Johnson tries a knee to the head but Te O blocks it.

Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Te O to the mat.

Te O decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!

Johnson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Johnson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Johnson tries to stand but Te O controls the position and pulls Johnson into his guard.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Te O on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is really struggling to control Te O but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Te O gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Te O is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Te O manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Te O is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Te O changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Te O is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Johnson wants to control but Te O is keeping him busy.
Johnson stops Te O from getting back to his feet.

Johnson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Te O's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Te O pushes Johnson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Te O manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Johnson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Te O tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johnson is in Te O's guard.

Johnson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Timmy Te O has got the better of the ground game so far.

Te O throws Johnson to one side and escapes!

Te O works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Te O gets to his feet. Johnson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Andrew Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Te O enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Te O manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Te O has his feet on Johnson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Te O has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Te O manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Te O decides to return to a standing position.

I would just about give that final round to Timmy Te O.
