Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Werner Meier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joon BigMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joon BigMan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but BigMan avoids it really well and circles away.
A head kick by Meier misses

and BigMan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by BigMan.
Meier throws a punch but it's blocked by BigMan.
Meier tries to score a body lock takedown but BigMan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

BigMan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Meier fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

BigMan misses with a leg kick.
Meier changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

BigMan is pressing down on Meier's thigh, looking to free his foot. Meier is holding on for now.
Meier wants to get back to his feet.
Meier trying to control but BigMan postures up.
BigMan is trying to control the action in half guard but Meier is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Meier is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of BigMan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take BigMan's back!

BigMan looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Meier is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. BigMan is defending well though. Meier let's go of the attempt for now.
BigMan can't escape the position.
BigMan surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
BigMan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BigMan tries to escape but Meier has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meier is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. BigMan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Meier has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! BigMan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Meier doesn't care though - he's delighted!
