Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Gouveia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renilio Gracie Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Gouveia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Renilio Gracie Slaughter!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gouveia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gouveia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie Slaughter as he jumps to the side.
Gouveia has Gracie Slaughter up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie Slaughter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gracie Slaughter is trying to break free.
Gouveia blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gouveia jumps guard and drags Gracie Slaughter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gouveia has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gouveia isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie Slaughter stacks Gouveia on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie Slaughter!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie Slaughter has hold of Gouveia's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gouveia seems comfortable defending it but Gracie Slaughter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gouveia is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gouveia is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie Slaughter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
