Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Wellman Iii!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Peterson. Those never looked like landing.
Wellman Iii tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Peterson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wellman Iii steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Peterson misses with a wild combination.

Peterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wellman Iii circles away quickly and effectively.
Peterson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Peterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wellman Iii moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wellman Iii looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wellman Iii can do anything to dispel that myth.

Shane Wellman Iii decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
