Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rodolfo Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Parker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Parker.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hansen.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Parker.
Hansen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hansen somewhat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hansen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Parker with that takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hansen really is a fat lump.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hansen gets underhooks to prevent Parker's takedown attempt.
Rodolfo Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Parker.

Parker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hansen regains guard immediately.
Hansen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Parker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hansen throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hansen is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker advances position into side control!
Hansen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Parker is trying to work for a kimura but Hansen is defending well.
Hansen is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parker trying to pass the guard but Hansen defending well.
Hansen tries to get to full guard but Parker has control of the leg.
Parker trying to control the action but Hansen is working from the bottom.
Parker is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hansen wants to improve his position but Parker is controlling well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Parker has closed the distance and engaged Hansen in a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Parker taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Hansen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Parker to keep the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edward Parker dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Parker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Parker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Parker just content to control the position.
Hansen is looking to reverse the position.
Hansen is working hard here to advance position.
Hansen is trying to escape the position but Parker is controlling the position.
Hansen is looking for a sweep.

Parker is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hansen is trying to escape and Parker transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hansen is forced to tap! Nice work there by Parker! Very nice indeed!
