The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grucha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Francis's guard.
Grucha with a flurry of punches that miss.
Grucha tries to free his leg and advance position but Francis is retaining full guard.
Grucha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Grucha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Francis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Grucha has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Francis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grucha on the ground.
Grucha tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grucha works his way to full guard. Good work.
Francis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Grucha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Grucha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Francis's guard.

Francis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grucha defends well.
Grucha advances to half guard.
Grucha wants to work for an arm triangle but Francis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Grucha works his way into full mount!
Grucha pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
It looks like Ike Francis has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grucha connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Grucha lands a nice shot to the head.
Grucha looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Francis covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
