Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Gloop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augustus Gloop will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esposito staying out of range there.

Esposito takes the fight into the clinch.
Esposito goes for a takedown attempt but Gloop pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gloop connects with a crisp jab.
Gloop swings for the body but Esposito moves out of range.
Esposito jabs Gloop to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gloop tests Esposito's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Esposito has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hunter MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Gloop bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Esposito's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Esposito fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Esposito is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gloop throws a combination that misses

and Esposito counters with a shoot takedown. Gloop fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Esposito controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Esposito drops back looking for a leg! Gloop is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gloop manages to kick Esposito off! Esposito jumps back into Gloop's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Esposito makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Esposito passes into half guard.

Esposito is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gloop is just riding it out for now. Esposito eventually gives up the hold.
Esposito looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Esposito takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Esposito is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gloop is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
