PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marty Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Bosko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marty Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artur Bosko!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Peterson misses.
Bosko wants to counter with a clinch but Peterson pushes him away.
Peterson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Peterson blocks a head kick by Bosko.
Peterson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Peterson falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bosko counters with a shoot takedown. Peterson fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bosko controlling from the top position.
Peterson trying to keep a closed guard but Bosko is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peterson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bosko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bosko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bosko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Peterson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bosko is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Oooooh!!! Peterson has knocked Bosko down with a huge combo! Peterson steps away and waves a wobbly Bosko back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Artur Bosko has been cut.
Bosko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Peterson tries to bum rush Bosko with a series of wild strikes but Bosko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Peterson looks to land a combination but Bosko avoids it well.
Bosko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Peterson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bosko.
Peterson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Bosko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Peterson is breathing heavily.

Bosko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Peterson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Peterson has escaped and now he's on top!

Bosko wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Bosko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bosko is striking from the bottom but Peterson uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Peterson wants to control but Bosko is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like Peterson is going to stand back up.

Bosko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peterson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Peterson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bosko's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bosko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Peterson gets to mount! Bosko was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Peterson prevents Bosko from getting the reversal.

Bosko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Peterson pulls his head out easily.

Bosko is nestled in close to Peterson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

No joy there for Peterson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bosko looks to land a combination. Peterson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Peterson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Peterson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Peterson throws a series of punches but Bosko avoids them all with ease.

Bosko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Peterson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bosko is in Peterson's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bosko is working for a kimura but Peterson is defending it quite comfortably.

Bosko is taking a breather. Peterson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
