The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz tries to clinch but Cricket moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ortiz is defended easily by Cricket.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cricket as he jumps to the side.
Ortiz tries to clinch but Cricket is having none of it.
Cricket circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cricket throwing a counter right hand but Ortiz manages to avoid it.
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown but Cricket shows good takedown defense.
Rickety Cricket has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Ortiz.
Cricket misses with a wild body shot.
Cricket just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ortiz shoots in but no luck this time.
Ortiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cricket seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Rickety Cricket seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ortiz ducks under a wild hook from Cricket.
Cricket punishes Ortiz's body with a nice straight punch.
Ortiz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cricket swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cricket was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Ortiz counters with a left and a right that stings Cricket.
Cricket throws a hook to the side of Ortiz's head but Ortiz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ortiz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ortiz unleashes a big counter combination but Cricket bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Ortiz tries to close the distance and clinch but Cricket swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cricket pushes Ortiz against the cage. Cricket is working some dirty boxing. Cricket pushes off with a quick right hook! Ortiz goes down! Ortiz tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Cricket moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

A relieved looking Rickety Cricket thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
