Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ravil Ahmedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Rage!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Ahmedov takes a swing at Rage's ribcage but misses.
Ahmedov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rage manages to avoid it.
Ahmedov throws a lazy uppercut
and Rage counters with a stiff right hand.
Rage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ahmedov manages to avoid it.
Rage chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ahmedov lands a head shot.
Ahmedov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rage circles away quickly and effectively.
Rage rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ahmedov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rage fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ahmedov.
Rage lunges at Ahmedov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ahmedov's hand.
It looks like Ravil Ahmedov has been cut.

Ahmedov walks into a straight right hand from Rage.
Rage misses with a double jab.
Rage doesn't manage to clinch there - Ahmedov circles away.
Rage connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Rage keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rage appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ahmedov throws a jab but it's blocked by Rage.

and Rage cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rage throws a series of punches but Ahmedov moves out of range.
Oh Ahmedov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rage fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ahmedov to the ground. Rage is now in Ahmedov's guard.

Rage throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rage throws a big elbow that misses.

Rage distracts Ahmedov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Ahmedov seems to have got his legs back now.
Rage gets to his feet - Ahmedov follows without any prompting.
Ahmedov misses with a hook
and Rage counters with a left to the body.
Ahmedov is breathing heavily.
Rage tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ahmedov defends well and Rage ends up having to push Ahmedov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ahmedov throws a hook but Rage avoids it easily.
Rage shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ahmedov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ahmedov wants to sweep but no luck.
Ahmedov is working hard here to advance position.
Rage gets to his feet - Ahmedov follows without any prompting.

Ahmedov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rage.
Rage has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ahmedov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Rage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ahmedov's waist but Ahmedov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rage off to one side.
Ravil Ahmedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Rage.
Rage moves forwards but Ahmedov connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ahmedov throws a right and a left that Rage avoids nicely.
Ahmedov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rage moves out of range as Ahmedov strikes.
Ahmedov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rage momentarily.
Ahmedov scores with a nice right hand.

Rage is rocked!
Ahmedov darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Rage's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Ahmedov before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
