Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Coy Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Scorletta!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scorletta looking to score a takedown here. Parsons is defending well but Scorletta drives through and ends up in Parsons's guard.
Parsons avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Parsons keeping full guard, as Scorletta tries to pass.
Scorletta throws a strike but Parsons rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Parsons is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Parsons thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Scorletta avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scorletta has a closed guard, preventing Parsons from standing up.
Scorletta is trying to keep Parsons in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Parsons thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Scorletta looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parsons is one step ahead there.
Scorletta pulls Parsons in close to prevent any damage.
Parsons postures up.
Scorletta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parsons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Scorletta is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Scorletta fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Scorletta misses with a takedown attempt - Parsons sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Scorletta throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It looked like Parsons was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Parsons lands with a straight right. Scorletta didn't see that one coming.
Scorletta misses with a straight right.
Scorletta looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parsons uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scorletta.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scorletta ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Scorletta has managed to clinch.
Parsons goes for a takedown in the clinch but Scorletta prevents it.
Parsons has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Scorletta is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Parsons lands a takedown into guard.
Parsons trying to control but Scorletta is working from the bottom.
Parsons postures up in Scorletta's guard and throws a big left but Scorletta blocks it.
Parsons wants to control from the top but Scorletta keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parsons trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Scorletta wants to improve his position but instead Parsons has moved into half guard.
Parsons sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Scorletta wants to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like Parsons is going to stand back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parsons fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Coy Parsons will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



Scorletta closes the distance and clinches.
Scorletta goes for a takedown attempt but Parsons pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Scorletta misses with a shot to the body

and Parsons moves into the clinch.
Parsons tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Scorletta just stands there and leans against the cage.
Scorletta can't find room to land a body shot as Parsons controls the action.
Parsons has Scorletta pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Scorletta manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Scorletta lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Scorletta manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Parsons tries to stand but Scorletta is controlling from the bottom.
Scorletta looking for a sweep. Not yet Scorletta, not yet.

Scorletta is looking to sweep but instead, Parsons has passed into half guard.

Parsons is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Scorletta has a hand on Parsons's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Parsons takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Parsons working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Scorletta tries to lock up and control but Parsons gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parsons is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Scorletta can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Scorletta tries to lock up and control but Parsons gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scorletta is looking to improve his position but Parsons isn't that keen on the idea.
Scorletta regains half guard.
Scorletta is breathing heavily.
Scorletta is trying to get back to full guard.
Scorletta is controlling Parsons's trapped leg to prevent Parsons from advancing to side control.

Scorletta throws some strikes from the bottom but Parsons isn't bothered - he's working on a kimura... it looks tight... it is! Scorletta is tapping and screaming like a little girl! Ouch, that looks painful! Good win for Parsons!
