Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rauno Tynkkynen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ziba Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tynkkynen comes to the ring accompanied by Cow herd - Fields. Rauno Tynkkynen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rauno Tynkkynen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ziba Halo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo connects with a looping right hand.


It looks like Rauno Tynkkynen has been cut.
Halo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ziba Halo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tynkkynen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Halo moves away.
Halo misses with a shot to the body

and Tynkkynen counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tynkkynen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Halo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tynkkynen, into his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tynkkynen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Halo's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Halo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tynkkynen is working away from the top position though.

Tynkkynen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Halo defends it well.

Poor strikes thrown by Tynkkynen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tynkkynen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
BOOM! Tynkkynen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tynkkynen throws a strike there. Halo manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Tynkkynen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Halo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Tynkkynen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Halo can do to turn this around?

Halo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tynkkynen.

and Tynkkynen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fighters circle momentarily. Halo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


Rauno Tynkkynen's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Halo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tynkkynen. Tynkkynen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Halo throws a shot from downtown. Tynkkynen moves away and avoids it.
Tynkkynen moves out of range of the strikes.
Tynkkynen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.
Halo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Halo walks into a stiff left hand from Tynkkynen.
Tynkkynen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tynkkynen throws a lazy right hand but Halo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tynkkynen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Halo.
No joy there for Halo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Halo digs a good body shot into Tynkkynen's ribs.

It looked like Tynkkynen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tynkkynen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Halo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Halo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tynkkynen has his foot on Halo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Halo works his way back into a safe position though.

Ziba Halo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Halo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tynkkynen.

Tynkkynen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Halo. Halo obviously looking to wear him down.

Tynkkynen shoots for a double leg takedown but Halo sprawls well. He's pushed Tynkkynen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Halo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rauno Tynkkynen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Halo is trying to control the action in half guard but Tynkkynen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Halo is looking to advance position but Tynkkynen won't allow it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Tynkkynen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Halo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Halo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tynkkynen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ziba Halo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Halo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ziba Halo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
