Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Philip Mosley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miso Kovac!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovac scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


It looks like Philip Mosley has been cut.

Mosley moves into range and clinches up with Kovac.
Kovac tries to score a body lock takedown but Mosley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kovac can't break the clinch.
Kovac tries to break the clinch but Mosley is controlling the position.
Kovac is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Mosley throws an elbow that misses.
Mosley keeps control of Kovac as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kovac is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mosley is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mosley drags the fight down to the ground.
Kovac not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mosley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kovac prevents Mosley from getting back to his feet.
Mosley pulls Kovac in close to his closed guard and prevents Kovac from doing any damage or advancing position.

Kovac postures up in Mosley's guard and throws a big left but Mosley blocks it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mosley decides to pull guard.

Kovac stays in close to Mosley's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Kovac might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Mosley is looking to stand up but Kovac isn't so interested in that idea.
Kovac is looking to work some ground and pound but Mosley has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mosley darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kovac stalks Mosley and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mosley's face. Mosley staggers backwards, shaken.
A head kick misses from Mosley.
Kovac misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mosley wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Kovac shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mosley defends it nicely.
It looked like Mosley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Philip Mosley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miso Kovac.
Kovac darts in looking for a takedown but Mosley gets double underhooks and turns Kovac into the cage.
Miso Kovac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kovac closes the distance and clinches.
Kovac tries to break free but Mosley pushes him back against the cage.

Mosley jumps guard and drags Kovac to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kovac's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mosley wants to stand up but Kovac is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Miso Kovac will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Philip Mosley's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mosley is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kovac.
Kovac throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mosley on the side of the head.
Kovac lands a nice shot to the body.
Mosley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mosley is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kovac.
Kovac shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mosley as he avoids it easily.
Kovac connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mosley! He's out on his feet! Kovac rushes in and drops Mosley with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Miso Kovac!
