Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kraig Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Snooker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kraig Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Snooker!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp feints and as Snooker raises his hands in defense, Sharp changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sharp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sharp is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Snooker wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sharp is now in half guard.
Sharp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snooker trying to hold on to Sharp's head to control him but Sharp postures up.
Sharp slows the pace down in half guard.

Sharp prevents Snooker from improving his position.
Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sharp is nestled in close to Snooker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Snooker keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Snooker tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sharp manages to move to mount!

Snooker is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sharp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

BOOM! Sharp connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Snooker tries to hold on but Sharp postures up.
Sharp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sharp lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Snooker hang on?
Snooker wants to hold on but Sharp pushes him away.
Sharp content just to control the position here.
Sharp prevents Snooker from getting the reversal.
Sharp is landing with some decent strikes but Snooker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Sharp fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sharp working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Snooker turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sharp off and cradles Snooker's limp body as Sharp celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Kraig Sharp!
