Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vijay Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Singh fails to land with a series of punches.

Belt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Singh on his heels. He'll look to pass Singh's guard now, I'm sure.
Belt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Singh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Belt drops back looking for a leg! Singh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Singh manages to kick Belt off! Belt jumps back into Singh's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belt chips away with some ground and pound.

Belt told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Belt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Belt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Singh's waist but Singh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Belt off to one side.

Singh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Belt, pushing him back against the cage.

Belt jumps guard but Singh stands there with Belt around his waist. Belt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Belt is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Singh can't fight it off and eventually Belt manages to take the fight to the floor. Singh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Singh is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Belt is looking to work some ground and pound but Singh has wrist control.

Belt throws a strike but Singh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Singh is pushing down on Belt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Belt is fighting to maintain full guard but Singh has managed to sneak the leg through.
Belt is staying active underneath Singh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Singh postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Belt to stand up.
Vijay Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Singh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Belt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Singh leaves Belt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Despite the aggression on Belt's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Belt shoots in looking for a takedown. Singh tries to sprawl out of it but Belt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Singh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Singh. No joy for Belt on that attempt.

Singh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Belt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Singh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Belt's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Singh drops Belt onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Belt is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Singh creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Belt's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Belt drops to his knees and Singh pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vijay Singh!
A very excited looking Vijay Singh made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
