Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuki Takano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Mewes!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mewes was well out of range. Poor timing from Takano.
Mewes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takano sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Takano looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nice defenses there by Takano.
Mewes avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Takano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mewes.
Mewes throws a hook but Takano blocks it.
A swing and a miss from Mewes.
Mewes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Takano slips a jab and a cross from Mewes.
Takano connects with a nice looking jab.
Mewes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Mewes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Takano has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Takano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mewes with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Mewes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Takano to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Takano shrugs it off.

Mewes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Takano's hands.
Takano throws a leg kick which misses Mewes's front leg but catches the back leg as Mewes tries to avoid it.
Mewes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Takano circles away.

Nice uppercut lands for Mewes. That snapped Takano's head back.
Takano takes a swing at Mewes's ribcage but misses.
Takano tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mewes is able to avoid easily.

Mewes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Takano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mewes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mewes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mewes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Takano defends it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Takano pushes Mewes against the cage. Takano is working some dirty boxing. Takano pushes off with a quick right hook! Mewes goes down! Mewes tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Takano moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuki Takano!
Yuki Takano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Jason Mewes stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm young and I'll be back, better and more awesome!'.
