The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muno misses with a kick to the body

and Maia counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Muno!
Maia wants to control but Muno is keeping him busy.
Maia is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Muno will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Muno tries to control but Maia manages to take his back.
Muno has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Maia.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Muno is keeping busy.
Maia really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Muno.

Muno breaks Maia's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Muno engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Maia is trying to keep Muno in close.
Maia looking for a sweep. Not yet Maia, not yet.

Muno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Maia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Maia wants to sweep but no luck.
Maia keeping moving, preventing Muno from controlling successfully.
Muno pushes down on Maia's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Muno is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Maia is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
