Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big NOG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BIG GARLIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big NOG!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BIG GARLIN!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - GARLIN looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

GARLIN gets the takedown into side control.
NOG tries to improve position but can't.
NOG sneaks back into half guard.
GARLIN throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are battling for position here. NOG manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

NOG is looking for a triangle but GARLIN pushes his legs off easily.

NOG working for a triangle but GARLIN defends it easily.

NOG looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

NOG is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
GARLIN cracks NOG with a solid left hand.
GARLIN wants to pass the guard but NOG is keeping the position.

NOG working for a triangle but GARLIN defends it easily.
GARLIN must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
NOG is breathing heavily.
GARLIN tries to free his leg and advance position but NOG is retaining full guard.

NOG throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! GARLIN escapes and throws NOG's legs to the side, diving into side control!

GARLIN is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. NOG knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

GARLIN landing strikes.
GARLIN really doesn't want to stay on the ground with NOG. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
GARLIN controls the position.
NOG is trying to improve his position.
GARLIN trying to control the action but NOG is working from the bottom.
NOG could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

NOG is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on GARLIN's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

NOG looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
GARLIN controlling the action here.
NOG is refusing to be controlled, as GARLIN sits in half guard.
NOG trying to hold on to GARLIN's head to control him but GARLIN postures up.
GARLIN trying to control the action but NOG is working from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

NOG actively working from the bottom here.
GARLIN wants to take a breather but NOG is having none of it.
Well, if GARLIN is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

GARLIN changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. NOG looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
NOG is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

GARLIN wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by NOG, who protects the arm well.
NOG is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Big NOG will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


GARLIN slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by GARLIN.
GARLIN drops NOG with a right and a left! GARLIN comes rushing in but NOG regains his composure and manages to keep GARLIN in guard.


It looks like Big NOG has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
GARLIN controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

GARLIN avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

NOG working for a triangle but GARLIN defends it easily.
GARLIN trying to control the position from guard on top but NOG is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
NOG being controlled here, momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

NOG is looking for a triangle but GARLIN pushes his legs off easily.

GARLIN drops back looking for a leg! NOG is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and NOG manages to kick GARLIN off! GARLIN jumps back into NOG's guard.
GARLIN working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

NOG working for a triangle but GARLIN defends it easily.
GARLIN chips away with some ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
NOG keeping moving, preventing GARLIN from controlling successfully.
GARLIN trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

GARLIN drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and GARLIN jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

NOG is looking for a triangle but GARLIN pushes his legs off easily.
NOG looking to control.
GARLIN in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

NOG looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but GARLIN is defending well. NOG quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! GARLIN has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! NOG celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Big NOG!
