The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Salminen circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Salminen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Salminen throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Salminen shows good takedown defense.
Salminen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Salminen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones!
Salminen fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Salminen has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jones is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Salminen yanks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Salminen.
