Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Feilo Meloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smoka Thaverde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meloy's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hypocrisy - Apocalypse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Feilo Meloy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Smoka Thaverde!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Meloy is defended easily by Thaverde.
Thaverde misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Meloy takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Thaverde tries to move into range but Meloy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Meloy gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Meloy looking for a takedown.
Thaverde goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Thaverde fails to land.
Meloy tries for a takedown but Thaverde manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feilo Meloy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thaverde looking to throw knees to the head but Meloy is blocking nicely.

Meloy wants the takedown. Thaverde is fighting it off but Meloy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Thaverde's guard against the cage.

Meloy drops back looking for a leg! Thaverde is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thaverde manages to kick Meloy off! Meloy jumps back into Thaverde's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meloy lands a couple of elbows.

Meloy forces his way into half guard.
Thaverde has hold of Meloy's hands but Meloy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Meloy is nestled in close to Thaverde, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Meloy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thaverde doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Meloy.
Meloy working over Thaverde with some ground and pound. Thaverde looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thaverde can do anything to dispel that myth.

Meloy seems to be looking for submissions.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Meloy connects with a nice short shot to Thaverde's temple.

Meloy is trying for a kimura here. Thaverde looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Meloy wins by kimura!
