Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chumba Wumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wumba comes into the arena with La Bamba blaring out of the sound system. Ian Rogers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chumba Wumba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers shoots in but no luck this time.

Rogers has closed the distance and engaged Wumba in a clinch.

Rogers works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Wumba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wumba is on top in guard.


Rogers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wumba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wumba tries to stand but Rogers is controlling from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rogers is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wumba has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wumba trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers wants to hit a switch here but Wumba passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rogers there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rogers is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rogers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Wumba looking for a sweep. Not yet Wumba, not yet.
Rogers loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Wumba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rogers is looking to advance position but Wumba has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Rogers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Rogers is working Wumba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rogers passes into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rogers lands a nice short elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rogers is pressing down on Wumba's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wumba is holding on for now.
Wumba trying to control but Rogers postures up.
Rogers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wumba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Wumba wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy.
Rogers working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wumba tries to roll over but Rogers keeps him under control.
Rogers tries to pass to full mount but Wumba defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ian Rogers dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Rogers rushes Wumba and presses him up against the cage.
Rogers unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Rogers content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Wumba gets underhooks to prevent Rogers's takedown attempt.
Rogers throws an elbow but it misses.
Rogers is leaning against Wumba and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Wumba is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rogers is keeping busy.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Wumba.
Rogers goes for a takedown attempt but Wumba pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wumba ducks right into an uppercut from Rogers.


It looks like Chumba Wumba has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wumba gets tackled into the cage by Rogers. Rogers maintains the clinch.
Wumba tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wumba takes a knee right on the jaw!
Rogers with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wumba is rocked!
Rogers lands an elbow just above Wumba 's eye.
Oh Wumba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rogers lands a shoulder strike.
Wumba is pressed against the cage. Rogers pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Wumba! Two more big strikes from Rogers and Wumba crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ian Rogers!
