Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leo Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arapeta Ma Aka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce comes to the cage accompanied by Migos-Y.R.H. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leo Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arapeta Ma Aka!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bruce takes the fight into the clinch.
Bruce lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bruce stops a takedown attempt from Ma Aka.
Ma Aka fails to pull guard.
Bruce throws a punch but it's blocked by Ma Aka.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bruce creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ma Aka has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bruce regains guard immediately.
Ma Aka wants to pass the guard but Bruce is keeping the position.
Ma Aka wants to control from the top but Bruce keeps moving.
Bruce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bruce is looking to stand up but Ma Aka isn't so interested in that idea.
Ma Aka looking to pass the guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Ma Aka has gone for a leg lock! Bruce slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ma Aka's guard.

Bruce is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ma Aka has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bruce is looking to defend but Ma Aka has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bruce! Ma Aka pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bruce taps out and this one is all over!

A pretty intense looking Arapeta Ma Aka took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
